The Founder

LATE CHIEF MRS. FELICIA ADEOLA ADESIYUN
(NEE OLAFIMIHAN)

Our founder, the proprietress and foundation Headmistress of our famous Adeola Model School was a woman of presence and mark in the school administration, and also a professional teacher to the core.

Mrs F.A Adesiyun brought glory and honor to Offa and its developmental efforts especially in the area of education through the establishment of this great school. The blessings derived from this citadel of learning later (a subject of green envy among her peers) were not restricted to Offa alone but to many other towns and cities in Nigeria where several pupils were sent there to acquire sound primary education.

A Brief History

How it all started

Having passed the course at London University for the Teacher Professional Course, Late Chief Mrs. Felicia Adeola Adesiyun (Nee Olafimihan) returned to Nigeria in 1960 and founded the Adeola Model School beginning with a Nursery class with only 4 pupils in attendance. That humble and lowly beginning in the private establishment and administration of Nursery-Primary in Offa later gave rise to the present education colossus called Adeola Model School (and later a new addition called Adeola College).

She was, until her death on 30th December, 2009, a great factor in the attainment of the educational goals of her schools.

She was able to own the first and best private primary school in the old Northern Nigeria.
